    1. My copy of this book is worn and well-read. It belonged to my mother, and I remember reading it over and over as a child. It is the kind of book you can read with a flashlight, snuggled up under the covers. Each chapter is a different fairy tale or legend from a different country. Easy to read and fun to read aloud, too!

    2. This book is pure magic. One of my childhood favorites, this book has traditional fairy tales from several different countries that I never encountered in any other childhood anthologies. The illustrations are unique and distinct, and fit the style of the stories perfectly.

    3. I will not go into a lot of details because other people have done so.I will just say that this is a book that I absolutely loved as a kid. This is such an amazingly good book that I am astounded that it is not more well known.
