This was pretty interesting, basically the author has went on several trips into the desert areas where the Exodus occurred and then gives insight and provides depth on some of the customs and the area which helps to better understand some of the events which a westerner might not grasp. The book also provides commentary which can be applied to your life (or the time in your own wilderness).     2. I read this book many years ago when I felt I was living in a wilderness spiritually. Recently I have been challenged to read it again. It is interesting to see that the impact it made all those years ago still ring true today. I highly recommend this book, especially if you wonder what God is up to when life is difficult.

    3. Very insightful, if only geographically. Added spiritual and biblical insights make it a long time favorite. Hard to obtain copies now.
