    1. Another Great Western! In McCarthy's easy reading style, the story begins on a hard working farm during the Civil War. After doing his best, the oldest son, Andy, leaves his mom and siblings for an unknown adventure into the west, chasing his dream to find gold. One challenging obstacle after another, lots of luck and experience eventually lead to more than expected.

    2. A true westernI liked the book. It could have been a true story of a young boy to man hood with many twist

    3. Good!Gary really writes a good .exciting Western Novel! I strongly suggests You try this,or one of his others. You will not be sorry!

    4. Good StoryAndy did what many young men died after the Civil War. With a lot of luck, he made something of himself!
