    1. If one just cursorily glanced at one of Mari’s Blood Coven books they would probably think it another insipid human/vampire love story containing characters with horrible names, filled to the brim with clichés and has ultimately run on far longer than what it should have. They would probably think the plots absolutely ridiculous, the characters overtly emo and the books trying far too hard for their own good. Those people, I’d say, couldn’t read their way out of a paper bag.No, Mari’s Bl [...]

    2. I’ve always been a fan of the Blood Coven Vampires series but somehow, Blood Ties did not get to me at all. The book was written from Sunny’s perspective and, my god, is that girl annoying. Not only is she shallow but she’s a mess. She’s flaky, she doesn’t know what she wants and she somehow expects the world to revolve around her. There were so many times in that book where I was so frustrated at her, I could barely contain myself from throwing the book across the room. Or somehow rea [...]

    3. This book is terrible. The only thing that could possibly redeem it would be if someone did a Mystery Science Theater 3000 thing for bad books instead of bad movies and gave it the redicule and derision it richly deserves. And yeah, I'm also amazed that since I worked at a library in high school and discovered the first two books in this series tucked away two shelves beneath Buffy the Vampire Slayer and a shelf to the left of Charmed in the YA section, this author has managed to churn out 5 mor [...]

    4. Update 4.1.12 wow! This book has taken a crazy turn. She's been getting kinda cheesey in her books lately, but if you enjoyed the others this one will not disappoint. don't read the spoiler of you don't want major ones! (view spoiler)[ so this is from Raynes POV. So the humor is a little more crude. She goes hunting for Sunny & Magnus to warn them of Pyrus comming to attack. So Rayne and Jarreth find them in tunnels underground NY. The bag guys find them and Magnus asks Rayne to take sunny t [...]

    5. So Mitch made me guilty over this book. >:( Why did I gave it a 4 star? Honestly, I don't remember. :P So I'm bumping it by two stars when I REMEMBER THAT IN THE END, they'll be back from the start as if nothing happened just so Sunny wouldn't die and so and so. WTF is that, I don't know. But yes, I'll still read the next book. Just because I already started the series and I'm bound to finish it. >:(

    6. Falta un libro entre este y Blood Ties? Porque según esto me leí dos veces un mismo libro, solo que eran completamente diferentes

    7. >** ladiikeiii.wordpress/2017 ** < I started on Soul Bound back in 2013 or maybe 2014 (November or October) I can't remember, but It took me awhile to finish this book and today midnight I almost finish it close to 1:00 am lol. I can say this book was good as the other six books once I took the time to get into the book and read it because the first time I read it, I kept getting distracted and couldn't quite get into it. And man I can't wait to read part eight (with Sunny and Rayne) point [...]

    8. The storyline and plot were very good, some people may not like this book, but I thought it was interesting and it kept you wanting more, as I got into the book it actually pulled me in and I couldn't stop reading because I wanted to know what will happen next. I hope that part 8 "Blood Forever" will be as good as books 1-8 if you haven't read the blood coven series you should great vampire stories. I am a huge fan of vampires and zombie books lol.

    9. This book was really good, good beginning and a good ending, but the making the bet with the devil I mean making a deal with the devil, is a bad idea but I think in the end it will help Sunny in the end.

    10. Good as the other six books in the blood coven series, can't wait to read part eight, well I am going to be reading it.

    11. Soul Bound is the seventh Blood Coven Vampire’s satirical series. Like the previous books, this one maintains it’s rather juvenile character development and plot. Don’t get me wrong Sunny is way less whiny and Rayne is way less angry whiny than earlier books, but the overblown way Mari does it is hysterical. This book mainly focuses on Rayne as she tries to find a way out of being sent to hunt down her sister and Magnus while Slayer, Inc. investigates Pyrus and tries to overthrow him. Chao [...]

    13. *Genre* YA Paranormal*Rating* 3.0*Review*In this installment of the Blood Coven Vampire series, Rayne McDonald, Goth vampire, fairy princess, and vampire slayer, takes center stage. Rayne is commissioned by the Consortium, via Slayer Inc to find her twin sister Sunny and her vampire boyfriend Magnus the former leader of the Blood Coven who is charged with treason. The leader of the Consortium, Pyrus, knows all about Rayne’s Nano capsules that can be triggered if she refuses to act and do exactl [...]

    14. It was until I found out that Blood Forever was out that I realized I haven't read Soul Bound yet. Considering both of the books have near release dates in between, so I just read through the ending of Blood Coven in one go. It's not a problem really, because the Blood Coven is quite a short novel series themselves. But now, I get why I used to love the series in the first place.Blood Coven series is about a pair of twins, Sunshine and Rayne McDonald who is a total opposite to one another. In th [...]

    15. As I've always said, I love this series for some inexplainable reason. It's so much fun to read even though it's kind of ridiculous, and each book just gets crazier and crazier. This one was certainly no exception!(view spoiler)[ I loved the addition of the Underworld in this one! It was a pleasant surprise to suddenly have Greek gods and goddesses added to the multitude of different characters constantly being added to this series. (We started with vamps and then got werewolves, fairies, Chupac [...]

    16. Reviewed on Lili Lost in a BookRayne, the vampire slayer, might actually get paid for this job she was just offered! The catch is, the vampire she has to bring down and turn in to vamp authorities is none other than Magnus! But that's not all, she has to turn in he own sister, Sunny, too! Dun, dun, dun! *cue dramatic music*Rayne, the vampire slayer, might actually get paid for this job she was just offered! The catch is, the vampire she has to bring down and turn in to vamp authorities is none o [...]

    17. So in now time I read the 7th book*exhausted*More creativity I ever read? No! BUT! Sometimes less is more!I like Rainy more ( xD did I ever wrote her name right?) so the story is a bit wittier and her sister is still stupid and a cry baby like everAt first I thoughtOk how could she trust Birdy (Bertha) ? But I just said to myselfIf you try to understand the book with common sense you going never understand these booksSo I just read.To be honest XD I like the author’s idea of hades! I start to [...]

    18. Twins, Sunny and Rayne McDonald, are two sisters with two completely different needs. Sunny wants to live a normal life but her sister, Rayne, has a different agenda. She badly wants to become a vampire. A sister is turned when Magnus the vampire bites Sunny. Sunny finds a way to return back to normal but it does not bid well for Pyrus. Now Sunny and Magnus must run away from Pyrus and his evil-doings. He plans on controlling the Vampire Consortium and ultimately the world.Angered by Sunny’s a [...]

    19. I really don't know how to explain this book. So, I'll do my best.I LOVED IT! I absolutely loved it. No exceptions!! You know how, after a series gets to about book six or seven you're all like 'is it done yet? I'm getting bored it's stretching out too long'. Well, not this series. Ms. Mancusi just keeps adding in all the perfectt things: romance, action, mythical creatures and mythical stories. I especially loved that she was able to add some greek mythology in there 'cause that's my forte! Thi [...]

    20. *Spoiler Alert*Can't believe that Mangus surrenders and doesn't know that his bloodmate/girlfriend is dead. Sunny dies and Rayne goes to Hades for help to release her soul. Jareth saw his family again. But Hades can't release to Sunny's soul without coming back from the dead as a zombie (we know what zombies do) so Hades gave Rayne a chose to go back where everthing started. At clun fang were Mangus bit Sunny instead of Rayne. Will Sunny and Rayne get a second chance to change things? Will they b [...]

    21. Soul Bound by Mari Mancusi was another great installment in the Blood Coven series! Intense and fast paced, this was a book was kept me up late into the night reading.I loved the plot of this one. While a bit of the beginning got a bit too angsty for me, the rest of the book was marvelous. Mari Mancusi's path to the underworld and actually her underworld herself were so unique - Mari Mancusi has taken a lot of liberties with the typical mythology to craft this neat, really cool version of Hell.T [...]

    22. This is Book #7 in the Blood Coven Vampire series. This time Sunny and Magnus are in danger and have run off together, which leaves Rayne in charge of finding and bringing them back by assignment of Slayer Inc. While still trying to find a way to get rid of Pyrus and not have the coven thrown out of the Vampire Consortium. As always thought nothing goes like planned and they find themselves worse then how they started. Through out the book Rayne is faced with more and more difficult decisions th [...]

    23. I started reading “Boys that Bite” to find out whether it was worth recommending to my daughter, and ended up following this series as each book provides a fast, engaging read. Story-wise, “Soul Bound” suffered in comparison to the previous books, but it’s not terrible either – I just found the story development a little off, tacky even. And I must confess - halfway into the book, I found myself skimming and teetering on the edge of “Is this series worth finishing?” However, the [...]

    24. I have an incredible love/hate for this book. The story is so off the wall that it is ridiculous. But isn't that the point of fiction? Off the wall, fake, not realistic This story was riddled with so many pop-culture references that it cracked me up constantly. The ending, though Pissed me off beyond belief.I love this series, but I question the authors logic. (view spoiler)[Why would you reset the series? Are you that short on ideas that you have to start over? Was offering Rayne a reset really [...]

    25. Absolutely loved this book and finished it as soon as I started it. Once you start reading the Blood Coven series, it's almost impossible to put down. I would definitely reccommend this book to any vampire lover. It was just amazing.Out of the twins, my favorite would have to be Rayne. I didn't like Sunny that much, she wasn't much of a great character to me. And I didn't like Magnus that much, either. Jareth and Rayne were perfect characters and I loved the books from their point of view. This [...]

    26. This was another fantastic installment to one of my favorite series. I always love Rayne's POV and the always crazy adventures she and Jareth find themselves on. This time they take a trip into Hell, which is much different than anyone could've imagined, with vampire rocker Race Jameson(who has some unbelievably funny lines:) to save Sunny. There is plenty of humour and pop culture references which always keeps the series fresh, and there are plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing. The [...]

    27. Hercules, Persephone and Lord of the UnderworldOh My! I didn't see this coming. The book starts out when Rayne has to hunt Sunny down and bring her to the consortium for punishment. Rayne gets the help of Jareth to look for her in the underground tunnels where there hiding out. But nothing goes as planned. I love the twists and turns in the book it just makes me keep reading to find out what going to happen next. I can not wait to read the next book. Im reall curious to find out how Mari is goin [...]

    28. This book was EXTREMELY wonderful!!!! Mari has done it again!!! Another book that sucked me in from sentence. (Pardon the pun) Though it was sad, it was full of self sacrifice. I envy Rayne for Sunny (and for Rayne's taste in clothes). I really don't want to be a total spoiler but I had cried so hard I couldn't even see the words on the page. But doesn't every book have a twist in the tradgety but sort of get fixed, even at slimmest chance? I have to say, these girls are VERY lucky to have eacho [...]
