    1. I really enjoyed this when I was young - about ten. The How and Why books are great for primary school anyway and I loved horses. There were pictures in colour of many different breeds, uses and sizes of horse and pony. The horses being brought to America and running free as mustangs were shown, names of many different colours and markings, pieces of tack, parts of the horse. It was very interesting and informative, above all so colourful!

    2. A wonderfully-written, easy-to-read book for children that clearly explains the evolutionary history and present types of horses, including how man used horses for work, war, and play.
