    1. Joanna Weaver, pastor’s wife and bestselling author of “Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World,” writes about intimacy with God in her new book, “At the Feet of Jesus.” The easy-to-use, 365-day devotional encourages readers to start each day “…at the feet of Jesus…” For most of us finding time to do that is challenging and it’s a challenge Joanna admits she shares. Even though we have more labor-saving devices than ever, our lives are busier. The distracting schedules and resp [...]

    7. At the Feet of Jesus by Joanna Weaver––a book reviewMy review––It's difficult to review a devotional book, simply from the standpoint that there is very little continuity in seeking to 'read it through.' So, my plan of approach was to simply start reading several different days worth and seek to evaluate what I read. While this may have left something wanting, it gave me a pretty good flavor for this particular book. The flavor it left me with? Oatmeal.Don't get me wrong; I really like oa [...]

    8. This is an absolutely amazing devotional with 365 days of personal challenges that I am delighted to have put my hands upon. Since I picked this one up for review I have been reading through a bit more quickly than what is meant as I have been doing a few days worth reading at a time, but I am planning to go back and do it again next year because I am enjoying it that much. As a matter of fact, after just reading through the readings for January I am loving this so much that I am considering buy [...]

    9. Joanna Weaver, author of such outstanding books for women such as “Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World”, has written a valuable daily devotional called “At the Feet of Jesus.” In typical daily devotional style, each reading consists of a scripture reading, the actual devotional, concluding with additional scripture reading and a question to assist the reader in further reflection on the day’s topic. To a large degree, “At the Feet of Jesus” reminded me of daily devotionals such a [...]

    10. At the Feet of Jesus takes excerpts from Joanna Weaver's three books (see above) and turns them into a devotional for every day of the year. Each day's devotional has a corresponding set of verses from the Bible for further study. These short devotionals are really easy to read would be a great addition to regulary daily Bible reading and study. There is also a Read-Through-the-Bible-in-a-Year Reading Plan in the back that is very easy to follow and has a great layout. 14. This time of year I begin to look for a devotional book to recommend for the upcoming year, and this year, it is "At The Feet of Jesus." Not only is this a lovely daily devotion, it goes one step further with sections called "Going Deeper" scattered throughout the book that gives great tips for using the devotion to delve deeper into God's word. There is also a special reading guide to going through the Bible in one year at the end of the book. Each daily selection is written in easy-to-understan [...]

    15. As a busy working mom, I always appreciate a great devotional to help me get at least a snippet of wisdom from God's Word every day. I was greatly blessed by this devotional compilation from Joanna Weaver's books. There were many days that I felt the reading for that day was exactly the message that I desperately needed at that very moment. As the readings ARE excerpts from her books, some of the content may be more meaningful to you if you have read the books, but God's Word never returns void [...]

    16. This devotional encourages us to be more like Mary and take the time to quietly listen to what God is saying to us.Each day's devotional is started with a Scripture Verse. There is then an excerpt or outtake from one of Joanna's books: "Having a Mary Spirit", "Having a Mary Heart" or "Lazarus Awakening". 18. One of the resources that I like to use during my quiet time in the mornings is a daily devotional. It not only guides me through a reading each day, but also shares insight and teaching to go along with the reading. There are suggested additional readings included as well in some devotionals. When I found out that Joanna Weaver wrote a devotional, I was thrilled as I love her books on Mary and Martha. I tend to lean towards the busy like Martha and long to be more like Mary taking the time to si [...]

    19. I am still reading this, but like it. It is a good light devotional. Although, I would not use this alone as my primary personal Bible/prayer time, I do think it is beneficial. Some entries are better than others, and like all Christian books I read, I can find things I may not completely agree with, but over all I would not hesitate to recommend this to someone. Just right for a break with with a cup of coffee and a few minutes of quiet. I plan to continue on with it for the rest of this year. [...]

    20. Joanna Weaver has put together a very thought provoking and challenging devotional. Drawing from her trilogy of Mary, Martha and Lazarus, each day gives an excerpt or reading from one of them. A Scripture to look up is at the end as well as a question. I have found the daily questions to be very challenging (if you take the time to think about them and work on applying them to your life).

    21. Devotions to Read:I enjoyed this book immensely. Joanna has a great ability to write about the things that matter most to you and give you insight and inspiration for living a victorious life.
