    1. Gilbert is off to Camp Hi-Dee-Ho, a sleep away camp for big kids. He is super excited, until one of his camp members, Lewis, tells him about the ghost at Camp Hi-Dee-Ho. Gilbert is now a little nervous, especially when he goes outside in the dark one night. In the end, Gilbert faces his fears and comes out braver than ever.I love the illustrations in this book. I especially like the pages where the illustrator has made them look like nighttime. They seem to help make the spookiness of the book c [...]

    2. Summary: This book is about a boy named Gilbert and his trip to Camp Hi-Dee-Ho. Gilbert slept with his stuffed animal every night but informed his mother that he did not need it for camp, while he was packing. Once on the bus to camp, Gilbert's acquaintances told him stories of a ghost that haunted the camp. At night, they told him even more stories that had him scared to sleep at night. Gilbert ended up building up enough courage to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and over come hi [...]

    3. I found Good Night, Sleep Tight, Don't Let the Bedbugs Bite by Diane deGroat to be an entertaining read. I liked the artwork in the story and the characters were amusing. I would read this story as an independent read a loud to a child before bedtime as an enrichment purpose. I feel that it would be most appealing for second graders because the language was simple and easy to understand. It did not offer any diverse perspectives but it would be a fun read a loud before a child's first overnight [...]

    4. This is a book about friendship and peer pressure. When Gilbert goes to camp he is labeled the scaredy-cat by the Lewis another fellow camper. As camp goes on Gilbert comes to find that Lewis is actually the one that is the scaredy-cat but makes fun of other campers to make himself feel better. Students experience similar situations and can relate to Gilbert's situation. Although Gilbert and Lewis do not becomes friends in the end Gilbert shows compassion towards his fellow camper, Lewis's, pers [...]

    5. I remember loving this book as a kid and finally came across it again today. There isn't much development, but I love the pictures and the idea of little animal kids at sleepaway camp is very cute.

    6. This was our bed time story the other night, and it was wonderful! We will be reading this one again.

    7. My lil' guys really liked this one, but there is a ghost story in it that might need to be taken into consideration. Great animal illustrations and some nice laughter.
