    1. WARNING: Contained unmarked spoiler. In all honesty, I don't know where I should begin reviewing this book. I haven't read this kind of genre for awhile. The last book I've read that I was devastated, I think was Nicholas Sparks' work--either Message in a Bottle or A Walk To Remember. I'm not fond of tragedy like story that was why I stayed away to Nicholas Sparks books. A Broken Promise was recommended by a friend--who didn't warned me that I would bawled my eyes out in some parts. And it's not [...]

    2. I don't really even know what to say about this book2 stars is being really generous. I'm going to try to give this review without spoilersI never understood any of the main character's (Jenna's) actions, or her attraction to and relationship with Keiffer. Keiffer is flat out mean to her in the beginning of the book, and not long after, Jenna states that Keiffer "respects her". Huh? If that is a man respecting a woman, then I weep for the future. There were many inconsistencies in story plot, not [...]

    3. This book made me mad. I honestly don't even know what to feel regarding Jenna and Keiffer's relationship. I never liked Jenna through the whole book, she got a bit better by the end but still not to my liking. I actually liked Keiffer better even with his problems. Actually I didn't like any of the characters, except Indigo and Jenna's Dad. The rest were just so bad! And the ending! What the hell was that?! (view spoiler)[and I don't mean Keiffer's suicide, that was expected. I mean Shanewhere [...]

    4. This book was practically laughably bad. I didn't like the girl or understand any of her actions. I didn't understand her attraction to the boy other than proximity and hatred. I really hated her going to his room to have sex and telling him not to use a condom (that he had! and was ready to use!) because she wanted her first time to be "really real." The fact that any teenage girl, real or fictional, would think that way scares me. I wanted to throw the book across the room at that point, but I [...]

    5. This book infuriated me so much it's the only book I hated the ending in , I don't think I've ever cried that much just from one chapter argh.

    6. This is the second book to make me cry! I never knew how bad an illness like depression can affect people. There's no cure for it and sometimes medicine doesn't work. But people with this kind of illness Keiffer lived the remainder of his life with his mom and Jenna. It hurt when he did what he did but he was sick and was to far gone . Jenna started out as an arrogant girl and turned out to be a very mature woman, all due to her life lessons. I was glad when she still had her two best friends a [...]

    7. Surprises around every corner.I originally started to dislike this book, couldn't believe this was the final product with so many errors in spelling and incorrect usage of words that interrupted the story. I was all set to not give a review, I decided if I couldn't give a positive review I would say nothing. This book had me bawling, and for someone that doesn't cry (myself) it was healing in a way that I can't describe. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.

    8. First of all really needs half stars!! I would have rate this book 3 1/2, but I always round up unless the book really isn't that good So I am not really sure what to say. I did like the storyline, it took a little while for me to get into it, but I stuck it out and found that it wasn't too bad. Of course me being the emotional wreck I usually am, I needed a box of tissues for the last 1/4 of it

    9. Although I did like this book it gave me an uneasy ending I know Depression and Suicide is a important subject that should be addressed but after reading this book it felt like something was missing. I also didnt like some of the characters like her best friend and brad getting together just didnt feel right!! overall good book!

    10. I don't know why so many people are giving bad reviews, stop whining at least it has a different ending. Depression is a reality, and believe or not, things that kieffer did the way he acted was because of his depression. I gave it a 5 stars, because of 500 books I had read in a year this is the only book that had a ending like kieffer's. It was a great twist to the plot. I re read it yesterday.

    11. I thought that the book was very well written and though out the book it had me hooked. I a touching, sad, loving kind of love story and i loved it i would this over and over again because it was that good.

    12. Wow. At first I wasn't sure if I liked this book took a little bit for me to get into itbut boy was it a roller coaster ride from there! I actually cried at parts was good! I would recommend to my friends with the disclaimer that it makes you feel a range of emotions!

    13. Seriously cried my eyes out. Such a people book about truth of connection, love, loss and life. Added a new perspective to life.

    14. I cried like a damn baby, and by the end my eyes were puffy :( Emotional and heart wrenching read for me, but overall I enjoyed it. The ending was really bittersweet though.

    15. Wow, I have to say this was the saddest, most heart wrenching book I have yet to read. Such a beautiful story, just keep a box of tissues handy!!
