    1. Suburban Terrors by Pauline Montagna is a collection of twelve stories that delve into that mysterious realm, prompting the realisation that not everything is always as normal as it may seem. The settings are typical suburban settings that readers can relate to but with a twist. I love that Pauline used Australian suburban names and references, and being from Melbourne I could relate to the imaginative The Loop. 2. Who knows what nasties are hiding behind bland suburban frontages? They look like normal houses, and the people who live there look just like everyone else. 4. Suburban Terrors really got me in. A series of well-constructed and interesting pieces about the hidden under-belly of life in the burbs. These stories were varied, characters were believable, and the endings often a surprising twist on the tale. The element of the supernatural was perhaps a bit over-used, but the human interest of the stories compensated. Definitely recommended.
