    1. Take a dysfunctional couple and add a last-minute gift, the trilogy ‘50 Shades of Grey’, by a clueless husband, and you get Fifty Seven Shades of Shit. If you’ve read the infamous Grey books or even heard all the hype, you’ll love this novella. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started the book. I figured it would be about the clumsy attempt by the husband, George, to act out his version of the Grey books for his wife, Kate. Oh, was I so wrong! I haven’t laughed so much while readi [...]

    2. As a fan of the 50 Shades series, I really didn't know what to think of this one. However, I was more than pleasantly surprised to pick this little gem up. This book was funny, no it hilarious! It really made me feel for the poor males whose mates have become enamored with the sexual escapades in the now infamous series. This book showcases George and his attempt to buy his wife what he believes will be the Valentine's present to end all Valentine's presents. In doing so he opens up the proverbi [...]

    3. Angeline's review posted on Guilty PleasuresGeorge and Katie are married with a child. They are an average couple living their life. Katie definitely runs the show in their relationship. Hilarity ensues when Katie reminds George that Valentine’s Day is coming up.We experience his panic of what to get her; how he came up with the idea of the now infamous 50 Shades series; and how the couple decides to put the books to good use. Oh, and that’s when it especially gets comical! The witty sarcasm [...]

    4. I have seen movie parodies and for the most part I like them. So when I saw that Fifty Seven Shades of Shit: Rude Awakening by Alex Cook was a spoof of the ever so annoying book, which I stall not name, I had to read it.In Fifty Seven Shades of Shit we meet George, who has the same dilemma that most married men have…. what to get his wife, Kate for Valentine’s Day. After watching TV one morning, he sees a segment on the Morning show about a new book that women are crazy about. George decides [...]

    5. Everyone on the Planet has heard of 50 Shades of Grey, and when I heard about this book I knew I had to read it. I am always up for a good laugh and this book did not disappoint. Take a couple of men hitting middle age, a couple of nagging wives, and The Fifty Shades of Grey triology for Valentine's Day -and hilarity ensues. This is a well written book, with really amusing characters. I especially liked George, he is full of sarcasm and wit. He seems to be stuck in the marriage rut and tries to k [...]

    6. Where to begin, where to begin? This book is hilarious! Fifty Shades of Grey can take a flying leap out the nearest window in my book. This novella contains better characters and better writing. Yes, I am not one of those women who went all gaga for Christian. I do totally relate to the hapless husbands in this romp into BDSM. For some reason I could see some of my relation doing something totally similar and begging for mercy afterwards. Thankfully not my own husband, he knows how to keep his w [...]

    7. I have not read the Fifty Shades trilogy but I work at a bookstore so have heard all about it. This story takes the main BDSM topic and spins it to the other side. What if one partner is into it and the other isn't? It turns into a hilarious, well written, very true reaction to what could happen. I can't wait till September to get the next installment to this story and see what George does for Kate on Valentines. Highly recommend for a funny light hearted read.

    8. I really liked this book. It was fun, quick read and I found myself laughing out loud through the whole thing. I can't wait for the next installment.

    9. With the dreaded V-Day fast approaching, George Bethers knows he better come up with a great gift soon, or he can kiss sex goodbye for the foreseeable future. It has never occurs to Kate that her husband may remember something as important as Valentine’s Day or paying the mortgage, so she does what any good wife would…reminds him endlessly. If he does say so himself, George has found the perfect gift for Kate, having no idea what he has just unleashed. Being rather fed-up with the ordinary, Ka [...]

    12. While this book had several funny parts throughout it just wasn't for me. Not to say that the book was badly written because it wasn't. The part that really bugged me was how it just abruptly ended. I think that it would have been a better story to just combine the books that were intended for this series instead of splitting them up. I am no writer, that is just my opinion.
