    1. First, there was finding this book. There may have been just one printing of The Ballet Cook Book in 1966; copies have been described as gold dust. At the time I went looking, there appeared to be one copy available in the U.S. at a ruinous price. I stalked that copy for months until one day, conditions finally being right, I pounced.
