    1. This is the second McClure book I have read but the first volume of poetry. Kerouac called Dark Brown "the most fantastic poem in America". Well, it is highly erotic in parts, especially towards the end. There are parts of the poem where I have no idea what is going on but other parts which are beautifully clear and stand out with radiance.
