    1. Confessions of a Corn Kid is the perfect book for middle school children. It is about fitting in, bullying, deceased parents, single parents dating and dreams. I think teachers should have this on their reading lists, especially in the middle school years.

    2. Well-written story of a young "city mouse" girl who moves to the country. The voice and emotion of this tween character are pitch perfect as she struggles to fit in while remaining true to her own dreams and personal style. If you loved THE PENDERWICKS, read CONFESSIONS OF A CORN KID.

    3. Check out this middle grade novel to see how Bernie overcomes bully issues and family turmoil in an attempt to achieve her acting dreams!
