    1. If only I bought it in a "normal" bookstore, I would never read it so late. I found this book in a flea market in Jakarta. I was broke but wanted to buy new books -- craving for reading my own books not the ones I borrow from friends or library.I bought it then read it the next 2 months -- too late. I found that this book is kinda benefetcial for me to understand how a child can be so lonely in his life.A child, or let me now say, everybody will never understand how beautiful this life is until [...]

    2. One summer about 13 years ago, my mom took me and my brother to buy books, mostly because she wanted my brother to improve on his reading skills, and one of the books we got was this one.The story is about an orphan kid that has to go and live with his great aunt and all the houseguests that live in the same house. Most of the people are really old, so its a shock for everyone to have a kid live with them. The characters at first seem to gray and colorless until one rather special person comes to [...]

----Harvey Ángel visited me when I was a child. I remember that day, I was competly freezen when I saw him for the first time, he was taking his tools of the box. La [...]

    4. This was on my reading list and I can say that i didn't understand this book at all. When reading this I restarted the whole thing once whereas someone on my table tried seven times to re read it and we still don't know what it was about. I was very confused about this book and one of the only things I remember is how disgusting his meals were with a decription of how they were and the strange people he ate with.

    5. Was a very sweet book, read in only a couple of hours. Aimed at kids of course, but that's never stopped me before. Gentle.

    6. A lovely book for kids, about the power of sadness and secrecy, and the greater power of love and human connection.

    7. Unfortunate orphan meets magical dude who can conjure the essence of life and happiness back into his sad house.

    8. I read this book when I was young and maybe a little to young to really grasp the importance of the some of the themes, however I remember feeling very good when reading it. I would recommend it to young readers who are looking for something a bit more challenging to read and who ask a lot of questions and are very aware of their surroundings. This book will certainly give them a lot to think about.

    9. "Once upon a time it was a happy house"Aunt Agatha takes in borders, which includes her nephew Henry. She is very stern, very dominating, and quite stingy. No one gets past her interviews that is until Harvey Angell comes to town.Immediately, things Aunt Agatha's boarding house begins to changing it's as if life is blooming. What is Harvey's involvement? Why is he always talking about connectors? Is he an electrician? What energy field does he work at?Who is this boarder who can "beam" a smile a [...]

    11. Ummm okaay. I've wanted to read Harvey Angell for about a year cause there were parts of it in my school's English book. I finished reading it and well I don't know what to say. It was a nice short read.It was funny at times and mysterious during the whole book. But, I still on't get the "Waif, Stray or Homer" part

    12. I was expecting a lot more from this book. I did enjoy all the different characters and places. I really got into the storyline but it seemed the ending was a last minute thought to the author. I wouldn't tell someone not to read this book, but I wouldn't recommend it either.

    13. I think if I'd read this charming children's book when I was the right age for it it would have been one that I went back to several times as a "comfort" read.
