    1. This was a tearjerker for me, even though I rarely cry. This was a story of forgiveness (of oneself and others), healing (emotional and relational), and more. I can’t say that I enjoyed reading some of it, but that was because of the disturbing subject matter. I loved the last half or so. I usually don’t care much for letters in books, but I enjoyed the many letters in this book.

    2. Wow. This is as good as a Francine Rivers book! It has the emotional depth that makes you laugh and cry. You can see change in the characters' thinking over time. You see how scripture influences their thinking. I recommend this book! The examples of the characters in this book will inspire anyone to start the road to healing in their own life. The happy ending is so very satisfying. It's one of my top favorite books now. You will be glad you read it. I can't think of enough good words for it!

    3. Wow! That's about all I can say right now. This book has to be one of the best inspirational romance books I have ever read. And, I read a lot. This is my first book to read by this author and it won't be my last. I am literally speechless. You know a book is good when you grieve, cry and rejoice with the characters in the book. Which is what I did. I read this book in two days. I could not put it down. I was a little hesitant at first to read about the subject, but it was so well written. It wa [...]

    4. This is one of the best books I have ever read. Not only is it well written and I honestly could not put it down. I had to keep myself from reading quickly so I could absorb this wonderful story of forgiveness and redemption. I kept thinking this is how Jesus sees us, worthy. The subject matter is difficult at times but the author does a beautiful job of uncovering layers of brokenness and baggage we carry into relationships and how they affect our lives. This is a life changing read and I know [...]

    5. When I saw the reviews on for this book I couldn't understand what everyone meant by saying, "It's a terrific story of redemption." That said little to me of what the book was about. So here's a quick summary: Robin has spent the last 5 years of her life running away from the horrors of that dreadful night. Working at an inn with a family friend, Emma, Robin has prepared her escape for when her estranged (and very much incarcerated) husband Mike is released from jail. Meeting Chris is the best [...]

    6. A moving story of forgiveness and redemption. I firmly believe that God changes hearts and that an alcoholic abuser can become a loving husband by God's grace. However, I know that abusers often say and do whatever it takes to convince their partners that they have changed when they haven't. Robin was cautious to ensure that Mike really had changed; any abused woman should be extremely careful, take their time, and be wise and discerning--make sure the change is from God and not deception from t [...]

    7. This story reached into the depths of my being. It is not to be read lightly. There is heartache and pain. There is also grace, healing and restoration. The magnitude of Christ's love is skillfully shown within this story. I highly recommend this book.

    8. Unbelievable! Thank you Lisa Heaton for another amazing book. This authors writings are life changing. Five stars aren't even close to what the rating should be for this book.

    9. 5 Star BESTSELLER !!!!! Wow!!!Without a doubt one of the best stories and best authors of this day! I was captivated by "Unmending the Veil". The characters are multi layered, flawed, wounded that their story and author you will recommend to your friends. Robyn and Mike take you on a journey of drama and suspense, love and forgiveness. In the end you will be speechless in ways to describe what a wonderful story this is. I encourage you to make this purchase, read asap then share the reader satis [...]

    10. I loved UNMENDING THE VEIL. Actually, I love everything I've read by this author. UNMENDING THE VEIL made me laugh, cry, and search my own heart. Lisa Heaton draws the reader into her books with such strong emotions, and UNMENDING THE VEIL is no exception. The characters are presented as flawed people who find their way by using their faith in God and by relying on strong relationships with those around them. I highly recommend this book to readers.

    11. The author did an exceptional job of making me care about every character. I fought tears more than once. My heart went out especially to Chris. This book is heavy on scripture and Christian themes.

    12. This book was both good and bad. It was both believable and unbelievable. It was not at all what I expected. In all honesty, though it was well written, I can't say that I enjoyed this book.SPOILER ALERT: I enjoyed reading about the main character's recovery from the pain of spousal abuse. It was very realistic and encouraging. It was great to read about the heroine's recovery, and I felt that it could be encouraging for other abused women to readThen the woman's ex husband was released from pri [...]

    13. This book was skillfully written and challenged my faith on a level much deeper than I expect from a fiction read. At the risk of "spoiling" the story, the concept of unmending the veil was thoroughly carried throughout the storyline, and continually supports the actions of the characters. The thing I like best about this author's treatment of the topic of spousal abuse was that the resolution was what I consider to be a moral one. I don't like stories in which I find myself rooting for a soluti [...]

    14. The messiness of a Life."Unending the Veil" by Lisa Heaton, is so far, the best book I have read in a very long time! At first, I struggled " getting into" the story, but then as I continue to read, the tears began to fall. I was so moved by the storyline that I began to ask myself the very same questions( about my relationship with the Lord). After awhile, I didn't want to forget the truths that I was seeing, so I began to take notes, (all 14 pages of them).

    15. This is my favorite book. I couldn't put it down and have recommended this book to many people. The book has great spiritual truths woven throughout it, and impacted me greatly. I am thankful for a book that is entertaining, well written by a gifted author, and impacted me spiritually. Well done!!!!!

    16. This book was a little to "preachy" to me. Having an aunt that was abused I would hope that no woman would go back to those circumstances and I do not care if a man has "found" Jesus. You must forgive but that does not mean that you forget or give them the opportunity to hurt you again. This was just too unrealistic.

    17. Nice story, butI did enjoy this story, but the central portion did drag on. A lot. While they were exchanging letters, (which was either very dated or very unrealistic), the writing was very stilted. The author was much better with dialogue. And for such a heavy subject, it did wrap up too easily.

    18. I was riveted from the first chapter of this book and couldn't put it down until I finished. Amazing love story that includes abuse, healing, forgiveness, and redemption. Was really caught off -guard by how much I enjoyed this book and would encourage you to give it a shot. Can't wait to see other titles by Lisa Heaton.

    19. WowWowtwists and healing you don't expect. a good story of God's grace and healing powers. if you wonder about how Good can work this is a great explanation of what He can do.

    20. LOVED this book! Emotionally draining but so full of God's healing and grace. The author spent a great deal of time developing the characters and being realistic in how this situation might work out. Best book I have read in a long time. Highly recommended.

    21. This book was a spiritual experience for me. Seeing how God takes all the disappointments and hurts in our lives and turns them into good is amazing. I would highly recommend it for even a novice to read!

    22. Excellent book. Its a very easy book to read with a very important message. Its one of those must read books!

    23. AMAZING book, loved it! If you like Christian fiction and haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it.

    24. This book illustrates what is inevitable once we allow the fullness of God's love to permeate our being. We experience true love, freedom, healing, forgiveness and reconciliation.
