    1. SHIFTER ROMANCESasha has moved to the US from Australia with her mother who wanted to be with her new man. Sasha is still in high school and is just coming up to her eighteenth birthday. One of her newly made friends is Brittany. When Sasha stays the night at Brittany's house she meets her brothers. Savron is Brittany's oldest brother and at twenty eight he's ten years older than Sasha. But what Sasha doesn't know is that Brittany and all her family are lion shifters. Savron knows immediately th [...]

    2. I started reading this and then did not want to stop until I had read it all1:30am on a work morning, I finished.I found this a fun read and I look forward to the next onewhich I'm assuming will be Brandon and Jess' story.Sasha is very young and innocent. She is a hard working and dedicated student who is also loyal and loving to her family and friends. Savron is a strong protective alpha type who is also hard working, and like Sasha, loyal and loving to his family and friends (not that we reall [...]

    3. Sasha has just moved to America and is trying to adjust to her new life there when her life is turned upside down learning shifters are real, then learning she is the mate of a shifter. Sasha is unsure how to handle learning about shifters let alone how to handle Savron.Savron has just found his mate because she is human he tries to keep a hold on his instincts letting her get to know him but at the same time moving to fast in other ways.Savron likes to get his way and isn't used to dealing with [...]

    4. I received this a copy of this book from an author giveaway. Not My Preferred GenreWhat did you not like:I will note that NA/YA is not my preferred genre. It has too much high school drama to suit me. A lot of selfishness on the parts of the h/h and secondary characters. What did you like:Despite the age/attitude issue, the relationship build up was decent and there is enough lead in for subsequent books in the series. The story flowed nicely.Would you recommend to a friend: If you are a fan of NA [...]

    5. 1.5 stars. This book was meh.I had some problems with the book. The biggest being that it didn't read like Sasha was really 18. It wasn't very believable to me. When I was 18 and still in highschool there was no way that my parents or even my friend's parents would let their daughter move into some guy's house that 1) they haven't met or heard of before 2) is 10 years older than them and 3) is a guy that their daughter met 2 weeks ago. Not realistic. No parent would be okay with that. There was n [...]

    6. I didn't like this at all. He meets her and he knows she's his mate immediately but because she's human and young he needs time to think, fair enough, but it is implied he is seeing a shifter woman and he goes off cos 'he needs to get laid ' I hate this in a story, of course she is not allowed male friends, even her dance partner, although he knows there is no attraction from her side. She makes stupid decisions which drive home how immature she is.This didn't work for me at all.

    7. This was a very good book from one of my favorite new authors. I was a bit of a departure from books I read. The red hot love scenes were not as numerous as most of my authors. The story was well paced and the relationship between the two leads was intensely emotional. The love scenes when you finally get to them are worth the wait. I can not wait for more Sin city shifters.

    8. I'm on a shifter roll right now. Lion shifter with a human mate. I felt he was very wishy washy with her because she was human. safe read. I thought $4.99 was a bit much for just around 100 pages though. That might stall my purchase of the second book in the series, not sure yet

    9. Loved, loved, loved it! I've gotta say that 'Hazel Gower' is one of my favourite shifter authors! I'm so looking forward to book 2, can't wait!!!

    10. Reviewed by MelissaBook provided by the publisherOriginally posted at Romancing the BookSasha’s Lion is the first book in the Sin City Shifter series by Hazel Gower. I chose this book for two reasons. One is that I have not read this author before and the second is I love shifter novels. I always love reading new authors take on shifters.Sasha Brento is from Australia. She moved to America because her Mother would not have moved to join her boyfriend unless she came with her. Therefore, Sasha [...]

    11. I REALLY enjoyed this book; in fact, I have to admit that it is my favourite shifter book of Hazel’s so far. I loved every single character except Zeck (he did my head in! total cling on!). I also will admit to being frustrated with Savron for not being able to make his mind up about claiming Sasha. The pride family are awesome and I love the way they stick together Like a pride of lions * wink, wink*. They were determined to help Savron and Sasha to become a couple. I cannot wait to start the [...]

    12. This had been sitting on my Kindle for a while, and with book two of the series out now, I finally carved some time to read it, and will be delving straight into the next one.Hazel and shifters go together like coffee and chocolate, as far as I'm concerned, and Hazel proved once again why she's an auto buy for me.If you love your shifters then this is a must read :-)

    13. This was a pretty enjoyable shifter read but I had a little trouble connecting with Sasha's character being in high school. At eighteen, Sasha shows at times she's self-centered and immature. I found myself feeling sorry for Savron. For me the book was one of those, I liked it but didn't love it.

    14. Hazel's shifters are such great reads. This is another well written book that is just great. I love how this book shows nothing is ever perfect in being together and you have to work on things to make each other happy.

    15. This book was a pleasant surprise. It has a bit of a different take on the normal shifter scenario. I enjoyed the story line. The tone reminds me a bit of Kathi Barton, whose books I enjoy a lot. I will be reading more books by this author.

    16. This book and series is one of my favorites. It made me want a lion of my own. I enjoyed the writing and storyline. Hazel Gower is a wonderful author with a great sense of what her readers would enjoy. I cannot wait until the next in the series is out so I can devour it too.

    17. It was a little weird because of the age difference. Sasha is still in high school and Savron is 28. Sasha definitely needed to grow up a little more.

    18. I've really enjoyed Hazel Gowers books previously but this didn't read like her. I didn't really get to know the characters and the writing didn't flow. Just disappointed.

    19. Heroine is far, far too immature. The author repeats it several times that she just turned 18, but she truly needed to be at least 2 years older and not in high school.
