    1. Her Montana Cowboy by Valerie Hansen (Big Sky Centennial #1)4 STARSIs the first book in the new series Big Sky Centennial. It is a charming, full of humor, clean romance. It is also a Christian novel. There is a mystery of a stolen item that is carried over. Each month they are having a different celebration there 100 years of history. 2. I have a difficult time giving a negative/semi-negative review on a book. I know authors work very hard and put a lot of heart into a book when writing. So I feel back only giving this a 2 star rating.First the things that I didn't care for in this book. The plot was good, but I didn't feel it was executed very well. It felt like things were resolved because to book was coming to a close, and they had to be completed. I would have liked to see her take a little more time and care in finishing th [...]

    3. Twenty-four year old Julie Shaw took everything head-on, tackling her father over his marriage plans for her to raising sheep in cattle country. As the mayor’s daughter of Jasper Gulch Montana she helped with the centennial celebrations relishing the rodeo competitions the most. Like many other competitors travelling rodeo rider Ryan Travers eyed the money to be made riding with no interest in the rodeo groupies or love. An unusual connection formed between Julie and Ryan, a short-term friends [...]

    4. When I first picked up the book, I didn't know that the Love Inspired Harlequin stories were Christian-themed inspirational romances. Being a believer myself, I thought it was very refreshing to read about a God-centered romance. The story was enjoyable but I found that I had some issues with the progression of the romantic relationship as well as some of the religious views of the story. That being said, I’d rather keep my spiritual concerns to myself. I know that everyone has a different rela [...]

    5. Valerie Hansen introduces us to characters and events that will take place over the six books written in a continuation series. These are usually books that need to be read in order since certain things build off of the book before. Jasper Gulch, Montana is celebrating one hundred years and they will hold a big event each month from July through December. Their July event: a rodeo! That means cowboysThere's one particular cowboy who catches Julie's attention right off and she just has to meet him [...]

    6. Julie Shaw was a sheep rancher I the middle of Montana's cattle country. She's headstrong and takes every thing head on, even her father who is trying to marry her off to the man of his choice not hers. The town of Jasper Gulch is having their centennial celebration, which includes one of Julie's favorites the video competition. Ryan Travers is in town for the rodeo. He's a loner and doesn't plan on settling down anytime soon. He loves the traveling and following the rodeo all over the country. [...]

    7. What a great introduction to the Big Sky Centennial series. This is pure romance at its best. One of things I loved most about this book is the instant attraction between Julie and Ryan. And Miss Julie is kind of brazen about it too. It was great to read about a woman setting out to get her man. I knew from the start that Ryan didn't stand a chance. The romantic development is exquisite -- such a joy to read. And the snappy banter between the two kept me smiling right on through. And seriously, [...]

    8. The first book of the Big Sky Centennial series does a great job of laying the groundwork for the series. This is the story of Julie Shaw, the mayor's daughter and a sheep rancher, and Ryan Travers, a rodeo cowboy. Julie's dad wants her to marry one of the suitors he's selected. Julie has her own ideas and gets Ryan to pretend to be her boyfriend much to her dad's chagrin. As they become friends, Julie shares her faith in God as Ryan rediscovers his. Great story with the multi-book mystery of wh [...]

    9. Brief ReviewThis was a sweet love story between Julie Shaw, who loves the rodeo, and rodeo competitor, Ryan Travers. It has a good plot, but the execution was off. The dialogue was weak, and seemed more along the lines of two high school characters rather than adults. Also, while there seemed to be some controversy between Julie and her father, there's little to show for that. We're just really told about it. Overall, it was an okay read for meC provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest re [...]

    10. This was just as sweet as His Montana Sweetheart. I thought Julie and Ryan were great characters, and Julie's sheep-ranching was a fun twist to the book, with how that made her something of an outsider in cattle country and yet there wasn't any animosity about it, just fun teasing. This is a cute little series.

    11. WOW!! “This is a truly exciting story, very entertaining and interesting! Filled with lots of drama, faith, family, and love! I love happy endings and Valerie has definitely shown in Her Montana Cowboy, that all past sins can be forgiven if we will just turn to the Lord and confess them. I am excited to know there 5 more "Big Sky Centennial" books in the series, all written by wonderful Christian writers!

    12. Miss Julie Shaw's daddy is the mayor of Jasper Gulch. Ryan Travers is a traveling rodeo cowboy. Can Julie stand up to her father for what she wants? Can Ryan find his way back to God and settle down in this small town?

    13. The romance between Julie and Ryan felt to high school/insta-love to me. I never understood what made they like each other so much and that was a little disappointing. Still it was an okay read and I enjoyed it somewhat. If you love Love Inspired books you'll probably liked this one too.

    14. A very enjoyable read. I loved the characters and the story. It is a sweet romance. I am so looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series. Most of all I loved the way the characters turned to God.

    15. A sweet romance, though as tends to happen with the Love Inspired titles, the sudden acceptance of Jesus seemed rushed to me and didn't really seem authentic. But I'll probably keep going with the series.

    16. "Hansen’s series starter blends a tiny bit of mystery into the expected romance. Ryan’s faith journey and his fears of not being good enough are authentic" (RT Book Reviews). 4 stars Miniseries: Big Sky Centennial
