    1. I loved this very realistic story of a 15 year old boy who loses everything in the plague that takes 99.9% of everyone in the world, leaving him alone feeling like the only person alive on earth. He gets his own act together to find others and becomes their leader. For the rest you will have to read it and I can't wait for the second book in this series! The writing is smooth, it moves along well, we are totally involved with this young boy becoming a young man. What happens when the world ends [...]

    2. I originally reviewed this book at amazon/gp/aw/cr/B00G1VWhat a sad twist to the end of the world. This book will bring tears to your eyes. The story is of a 15 year old boy who lost everything in the flu-like plague worse than the ebola virus, that wipes out 99.9% of the world, leaving him alone. His parents as well as his sister and also his best friend died. The young boy had to grow up fast and we see the world through his eyes - and what happens when the world ends as he knows it and he ha [...]

    3. I received a free copy of this book for review. I would really rate this a 3.5 for YA dystopian fiction. The main character is a good kid and sometimes I liked him and other times I wanted to smack him but he IS a teenager so. The story is about how a virus decimated the world population and left (so far) only young people. The main character spends the first days after his family and friends have passed, alone and grieving and dazed and then pulls himself together and decides he needs to start [...]

    4. A gathering of lions and lambs by Roger Jackson is a post apocalyptic YA story of a group of mainly teenagers who survive a plague. They have no idea why they survived but we follow Jake, the main protagonist, from BP (before plague) to AP (after). His character is challenged as we witness how he's thinking and feeling - he's just an ordinary teen who grows into a leader of over 200 people. His second-in-command, Mike, is also shown to be full of flaws but he has redeeming qualities as well and [...]
