    1. After reading "The Brown Agenda", I've realized that Richard Fuller is the Mark Watney (the astronaut in "The Martian") of cleaning up toxic waste. Fuller has that same "I don't have the complete solution but let's just figure out this stage first and keep moving forward" mentality in the face of seemingly insurmountable scenarios. In writing this book, Richard Fuller has a clear agenda: he wants to put Pollution on the same level of awareness for each of us as Breast Cancer or Leukemia or ALS, [...]

    2. This book starts with a hiss and a roar, but by the end, I thought it was flagging. This was indicated by increased use of sensationalist and emotive language, as well as progressively shorter chapters. As for the content though, it was super interesting and engaging, especially the chapters on lead, which are detailed and comprehensive, especially as they were discussed in the context of political and social development of the affected areas. Some of the remediation solutions annoyed me, because [...]

    3. I won this book through a First Reads giveaway.More people need to read this book. In general more people need to be familiar with the ideas that this book is trying to get across. Most people lucky enough to live a wealthy country often feel pangs of guilt for not always taking the greener option. But what about the people who don't have the option at all? Hence, the brown agenda. It's time to see the impact of pollution in a way that hasn't really been explored much before. This book explores [...]

    4. Richard Fuller has spent many years in helping low and middle-income countries clean up areas of pollution. It is believed that this pollution is the world's most prevalent health risk. Those of us who are privileged to live in countries that try to keep our air cleaner are so fortunate. Many thanks to those who are helping clean up the pollution that is in our universe.

    5. This read flipped my misconceptions about global public health. Fuller describes first hand accounts of the world's most contaminated sites through the eyes of his younger self, an inexperienced yet determined environmentalist. The message of this book is clear: pollution is the world's greatest threat to humans.

    6. A very interesting read on a very important topic. Richard gives some great examples of a broad range of pollution/contamination issues.
