    1. I read Wicked Stitch in April and I really loved it, so I was super excited to read the next book, which is Halloween themed. I'm really loving this series and will definitely have to go back and read the first books. For those new to this series there are 8 books before this one. This is a series that is easy to love.In this book a haunted attraction is opening next door and Marcy isn't very excited about it. Then a waitress is found dead, and it looks like their might be vampires on the loose. [...]

    2. So with this series, I like how with each book it continues the story and characters. And of course a new mystery for Marcy to solve. It helps that the pacing goes by quick. Another really good installment in this series. I say that for most of the books in this series but it really is.And I love the covers for these. It really does give off a cozy feel to it. What doesn't help is that once I start reading, I find I breeze through these books and want to read the next one.

    3. Author Amanda Lee has crafted another delightful installment in this wonderful series. THE STITCHING HOUR is by far my favorite book in the Embroidery Mysteries. Ms. Lee really knows how to bring a reader into her stories and make them feel a part of it all. I know I certainly do when I’m reading. The author’s writing is fluid and unfussy, taking you from one page to the next with the ease that only a gifted story teller can. It was great fun being back in Tallulah Falls, Oregon. I always lo [...]

    4. I Read this on the kindle This is the 9th book in what is at March 2017 a 10 book series I have read all in this series not only do you have murder & who it is you have Marcy owner of Seven Year Stitch a embroidery shop which sells some knitting yarns & items along with embroidery classes & different methods so this is nice regardless if you do crafts It just coming up to the 1st Anniversary of the opening of the shop next door is a halloween/horror place opening on a preview for sel [...]

    5. A complex murder plot and enjoyable characters make this a must read book and series. The month of October is bringing a haunted house to life in the building next to Marcy's shop, the Seven-Year Stitch. Colorful characters and a twisted murder plot make this an enjoyable adventure. Greed, snakes, jealousy and revenge will keep you guessing until the final reveal. Oh, did I mention the vampires!

    6. Cute, easy read. I loved the characters. I had not read any other books in this series and I think that I may have to look for them. The main character owns a stitching shop. Next door for Halloween some interesting characters are running a haunted house for the month. During the trial run (just for other shop owners mostly) there is a murder. the rest of the book looks into solving the murder and linking characters together. I was surprised by who the murderer was, but especially the motive.

    7. This was an enjoyable book. Amanda Lee does a good job continuing to develop her main characters. They are complex and engaging. The plot was devious, making it a page turner. Marcy Singer is a favorite character of mine. She’s into needlework (she owns her own shop), inquisitive, brave and funny. I’m looking forward to her next book.

    8. My Rating - 3. 5I'm Reading a cozy mystery first time. It's not what I expected. Actually its a series, so i feel difficult to get into the characters. I loved the life of small town and it's murder investigation. The feeling of reading this mystery is really good.

    9. The continuing story between the mains characters of Marcy and love interest Ted remains the best side light to the murder mystery that I like. I must continue to collect all other stories in this series to best understand the characters.

    10. Enjoyed this book very much. I loved the fact that our heroine ran an embroidery shop. I used to embroider when I was younger so this really appealed to me on several levels. The embroiderer in me and my love of mysteries. I would recommend this book.

    11. I really don't want this series to end 😭 I feel like I know the characters, the town. So special.

    12. A fun little yarn that will keep you turning the pages. Thanks Ms Lee for this delightful tale. I think I'll read another

    13. This is a decent cozy mystery but the murderer was a bit obvious early on and the ending was abrupt and stretched the imagination.

    14. This is Marcy's one year anniversary for her store! A lot of things happening throughout the story to keep you reading until the end.Enjoy!

    16. For some reason, this book didn't do it for me. There was less sleuthing - and less about the mystery - than in the previous books. While I like a good literary fiction (or women's fiction) book where the focus is on the characters and their interpersonal relationships, I wasn't expecting that in a cozy mystery series. This book begins when the shop next to Marcy's embroidery shop gets rented after the previous tenant was murdered - see the previous book to read all about that one. The current r [...]

    17. Its Halloween time in Marcy's Stitch Shop and the little main street is welcoming a Haunted or is it Horror. Emporium. Marcy's newest neighbor is a high-end Halloween Haunted shop meant to scare the socks off the local teenagersnts with little kiddies beware. When the hauntedor is it HorrorShop includes a waitress serving hot cider and hot cocoa and then is killed on opening night, Marcy and boyfriend Ted(the local detective) are on the hunt for a killer!I have always enjoyed this series. 18. Even if you have not yet read the previous book in this series, Thread on Arrival, toss this in your treat bag and hurry home to enjoy a cozy evening in front of the fire. You will be thankful you do.Tallullah Falls, OR is a cozy small town with a variety of boutique type businesses on the main street. The storefront next to The Seven Year Stitch has been vacant, until Marcy gets the news that it will be occupied for the month of October. What harm could come from having a Haunted House next doo [...]

    19. Check out my other reviews, discussions and link ups at Fantasy of the Silver Dragon.I received this book for free from Obsidian in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.I think my favorite part of the book was the interaction between Marcy and her mother. It was sweet and believable. The town felt real too, even if we didn't really get to see more than the street Marcy works on. Unlike some cozy mysteries, this one didn't tell you [...]

    20. Some time ago I won a book from this series and had such fun reading it. After that I kept my eye out for more. While I’m all over the place in the series, reading books out of order, it’s nice to grab this new one. That shows, you can jump into these anywhere and easily catch up on past events. The author does a good job of cluing you in quickly in the right places so the story doesn’t become bogged down in the past. It’s great to be back in Tallulah Falls, visiting Marcy and seeing what [...]

    21. The Stitching Hour is the ninth book in the An Embroidery Mystery series.Marcy Singer is looking forward to celebrating the first anniversary of her embroidery shop, The Seven-Year Stitch. Then finds out the vacant store next door has been rented to Claude and Priscilla Atwood, who plan on opening The Horror Emporium. She is trying to get out of her mind how all the screaming coming from the building will affect her business and also the classes she teaches in the evening. The Atwood's are a stra [...]

    22. I got to read the previous book in the series, Wicked Stitch, and loved it so much, I read it like 10 times. (No joke!) It just happened to be outside when I was, so I'd read a chapter here and there and it added up!So when I saw this book come up for tour, I wasted NO time in applying to be a host. When I found out I would be hosting a stop on the tour, I think I may have done a little dance for joy.Considering how many new businesses fail in their first year, it is a testament to Marcy's busin [...]

    23. I saw this during work at the library, and the title sounded intriguing since I've been getting into cross stitch lately. The plot is good, but the supporting characters are too simple for me. Also, Amanda Lee's filler sentences are KILLING ME. There's so many choppy descriptor sentences of the same length that made Marcy seem like a really boring person, you could really tell that this is an author narrating a story rather than feeling like you're living the story with the character. Plus, Marc [...]

    24. Vampires have invaded Tullah FallsIt's been one year since Marcy moved and opened up the Stitch, and to she s having a one year anniversary but at always troubles brewing for our little inch high. A Horror Emporium is opening up for one month next door and the couple is very eccentric to say the least they have some people believing that their Vampires!!! Will Marcy and the gang get a sneak peak before the grand opening disaster strikes and death follows. Keira was a hateful creature but she did [...]

    25. It been one year since Marcy singer and her dog Angus ( Mr. O'Ruff) moved to Tallulah Falls Oregon and open her seven-year stitch store. Marcy is having a one year anniversary but as always trouble brewing for our Marcy (inch high). A horror emporium is opening next door to Marcy's shop for one month. The couple that are opening the emporium are very eccentric to say the least they have some people( Nellie ) believing that they are vampires. Marcy had order key chains for her goodie bags for her [...]

    26. Marcy is looking forward to her anniversary party for the store when a Horror Emporium moves in next door. She isn't overly thrilled about it, worrying that the noise will scare some of her older customers that come to the shop for classes. But, in the spirit of Halloween, she's also kind of excited to see the place. Given that her mother is the famous costume designer, Beverly Singer, the proprietors of the Emporium are very excited to invite her and her friends to a very special preview. Unfor [...]

    27. Although this is the ninth book in the series, it is the first one that I have read. I had no trouble following the story, however, as the personal relationships were explained as the story progressed. Tallulah Falls, Oregon is a quaint small town where everyone knows everyone, and where main street is populated by a variety of boutique stores. The main character, Marcy Singer, is preparing to celebrate the first birthday of her embroidery shop, The Seven Year Stitch, as well as joining the rest [...]
