    1. This short supernatural novella was pretty entertaining overall.Jay is an early 20's full-time lifeguard and part-time demon hunter, thanks to a 400 year old curse on his family line.Dan is a 23 y.o. oceanography student, visiting Playa Escondida in hopes of tagging a sea turtle as part of his university thesis. The two meet on Jay's beach and begin a tentative friendship (and attraction,) but things go south pretty quickly when Dan is marked by the demon that's hunting Jay.So Jay and Dan must wo [...]

    2. This story is about Jay and Dan. Dan is an oceanography student studying turtles in Playa Escondida. Jay is a lifeguard Dan meets his first night out on the beach. One night out something happens to Dan that he can’t explain. The next day has a mark on his hand and it’s possible he’s been marked by a demon.I loved the paranormal aspects of this book. I love a good ghost story and even better if we’ve got a demon to deal with.I was surprised by how interested I was in trying to figure out [...]

    3. 3.5 Heart Review by CarissaDan just wants to study the turtles. That’s all. And yeah, the lifeguard is cute–if a bit lacking in social skills–but Dan just needs to find a turtle and do science-y things to it. Dan does not want to be involved in ghosts, demons, or the whole WTF that is Playa Escondida. Too bad the gods, fate, or even that bitch The Universe, has other plans for Dan. Good news? He’ll get to see more of the cute lifeguard, so there’s that. Now all he has to deal with is a [...]

    4. A Joyfully Jay review. 4 starsI did know what I was choosing with this book, really! What I was not expecting was the depth that Moore went to regarding the possession, the demon, and its actions throughout the years. This was definitely the focus of Jay and Dan’s story, to the point that their only sexual encounter was fade to black (too bad because Jay sounded hot).Although I liked the various characters in the story on their own, Jay and Dan’s budding relationship felt rushed and left me [...]

    5. All Dan needed was a blood sample from a turtle to finish his degree what he got instead was a lot more interesting! While on the beach, Dan meets lifeguard, Jay who is a bit socially awkward. Later that night, Jay tells Dan a 400 year old ghost story Let the entertainment begin. The next night while looking for a turtle, a storm blows through catching Dan off guard. Dan finds out, this isn't just a story Now Dan is doing everything in his power to find out everything he can about Jay and his fa [...]

    6. So this book started out so promising. Two cute guys fumbling around each other. One telling a well known town ghost story, while the other is walking the beach at night looking for sea turtles. Then all the sudden we have a huge storm and it blows this story into left field somewhere. Now we have three cute guys (nothing wrong with that) but they are hunting a demon that may or may not have possessed Dan, the turtle looker, who’es forgotten all about the turtles. And we find out, this well ke [...]
