    1. Check out more manga and graphic novel reviews @ Perspective of a WriterAs the third volume of a manga my rating is affected by the previous volumes! See my review of volume one and my review of volume twoOn her 16th birthday, orphan Himari Momochi inherits the ancestral estate she’s never seen. Momochi House exists on the barrier between the human and spiritual realms, and Himari is meant to act as guardian between the two worlds. But on the day she moves in, she finds three handsome squatter [...]

    2. LOVE this manga! reminds me of XXXholic though with all the exorcisms and can't leave the house thingy. Though Yukihira can definitely leave the house.

    3. It's pretty odd that when I first started to read this, I noticed an error that on further reading the first chapter of this volume (Chapter 8) I caught immediately. But that aside, I really liked this volume. All of the positives that have been in this series in the past are still her, including the fact that Aoi's Nue form still makes me want to swoon.I do think that some of the events of Chapter 11 were rather confusing, and that the volume in itself ended so abruptly (the same chapter too). [...]

    5. Love this series. This 'episode' was exciting as the Nue puts a new seal on an old demon, and the odd relationship between Aoi and Himari advances, such good stuff. Really hope they make this one an Anime.

    6. This book really worked well. Great mystery and monsters. Loving the texture of this world. It's got some typical tropes of the genre, but it's using them in ways that don't feel tired. I'll keep reading!

    7. Very enjoyableI am really looking forward to the next book! Look out Volume 4 here I come! Woot! Great and beautiful manga!

    8. The Demon Prince of Momochi House, Volume 3 has been my favorite of the manga series so far. It starts with Part 2 of "The Fourth Friend", the suspenseful ghost story that ended on a cliffhanger in Volume 2. The story did not go where I expected (which is often a good thing!), and it did provide an interesting entrance for a new antagonist. The best part about this third volume, though, is that we see a lot of growth in Himari, the main female character. She still gets herself in lots of trouble- [...]

    9. Wow, this volume was great! Aoi/Nue takes Himari to a banquet in Momochi House, but very near the spiritual realm. It reminded me a lot of Ghibli's spirited away because of the weird and cute creatures, and the party atmosphere. Aoi and Himari at so cute in how much they care about each other, and I like that they both have their strengths and weaknesses when it comes to dealing with people as well as scary situations. The artwork, especially the covers and colour pages, continues to be beautifu [...]

    10. Oh boy there is another, strong, dark haired guy that is shown in an unfavorable light I'm getting Tamlin/Rhysand vibes here. But it is highly unlikely to go that way since that would be too awesome to ask for.

    11. OMG I so love this one. I was like what the fuck. I could not believed it

    12. More reviews (and no fluff) on the blog surrealtalvi.wordpress/Volume 3 surprised me in many ways: through the first two volumes, I was pretty much coasting on the pretty art and unsure if this would ever take off somewhere interesting. But the story is now coalescing into its own distinct tale; those worried that this was another Kamisama Kiss can relax - there is a gentleness but also a depth to Momochi House that make for a beautiful but very distinct read.Story: Himari is trying to discover [...]

    13. Is it fair that this guy looks gorgeous not only as a man but as a girl too?! I think so. Oh Aoi looks so beautiful as a girl and I can help but feel a bit jealous for him given how Himari has started school and now has friends of her own. Then we have the orangutan shikigami whose name escapes me at the moment and how he want to be close to Aoi and belong in that little family they got going on. Aww so cute! My inner fujoshi is being called out haha! And just what is th relationship between that [...]

    15. Himari's classmates came over to see if her house was truly haunted but while they were there Aoi informed Himari that one of her classmates is already dead. It turned out that Torii was already dead but Iizuka was actually Kasha in disguise and manipulated Torii into coming to Momochi House trying to get at Aoi/Nue. Afterwards Himari tries to get Aoi to talk about Kasha but he dodges her questions and runs away from her.A good volume and the artwork continues to get better and better. I really [...]

    16. ~3.5/5The story from the previous volume concludes, and we see that some long-standing enemy was behind it, leading to another problem later on.But the big plotline of the volume is when Himari gets to see what one of Aoi’s big responsibilities as the demon prince really is. It’s misleading at first, and Himari has to pretend to be a yokai to even be allowed at the ceremony. It’s dangerous for Aoi, but it’s something he has to do every so many years, to keep a dangerous creature locked u [...]

    17. This manga remains sweet and cute. The first half takes a darker tone. One of Himari's new friends is actually a ghost and puts all the rest of them at risk within Momochi house. And as that works out a new demon, Kasha appears and seems to be an actual threat to Aoi/Nue. Later, Himari's desire to know more about Kasha meets a stone wall with Aoi but in the end she learns more about everything. The second half has Himari with the Nue for a celebration that turns scarier by the moment. She realize [...]

    19. 3 Stars. Now that I've read more of Aya Shouoto's work (Kiss of the Rose Princess series), I can see a style emerging. That style is absolutely no plot that makes even the slightest sense, with gorgeous art. I'm just going to keep on reading for the cute little 'episodes', because this has no overall plot that I can see at all. Still, they are all very cute :)

    21. Well, the volume two fun cliffhanger ending was a fluke. This series is too bland to bother with future volumes.
