    3. Based on the Square Enix game Final Fantasy Type-0, the manga side story delves into the past of Kurasame Susaya, one of the game’s key characters. In the war-torn country of Rubrum, young cadets train at a prestigious magical academy in the hopes of becoming "Agito," saviours of legend that are prophesized to save Rubrum, and the rest of the world, from destruction. The Ice Reaper takes readers back in time to Kurasame’s beginnings as a cadet and plants the seeds for his tragic rise to fame [...]

    4. I can't say I was all that impressed, really. The art was good, the action sequences were decent, but the story is poorly paced. It feels like a lot of speeding up and slowing down, like when you're in rush hour on the freeway. I neither like nor dislike the characters, and the world building is a bit sluggish.I can't say it held my interest enough for me to read the next volume. This is a side story, though, so maybe if I had played the original game I'd have liked it more? (I'm assuming Type-o [...]

    5. Aside from the manga they published about class zero this side story is even better. One of the characters in the game is all moody and at first seemed mean to me. Once i read this my opinion of that character changed as i was able to read about what he went through. Poor guy D:. I feel bad for his team as well. I dont agree with the whole memory system that once someone is dead that any all memories someone has about them just disappears D:. Its a but cruel but understandable as to how it wont [...]

    6. I won this book in a Firstreads giveaway!I don't usually read manga due to the fact that I'm a die-hard young adult fan, but this book was pretty good for a change. I thought it was quite interesting and that the drawings were basically flawless. Manga is always cool to read because the pictures are always what keeps me wanting to read on and find out what happens.Overall, this is a good manga book!I would recommend this book to anyone who likes manga/graphic novels!I hope you enjoy Final Fanta [...]

    7. The problem with manga is I devour it. Especially if it's a good one. This volume is an awesome beginning to what I hope will continue as a great series. You instantly get attached to the characters (which is sad because the death-toll is really high really early on) but you can't help but want to continue on with the survivors. Even though he's not the 'main' main character, Guren has quickly become my favorite.I look forward to following the story of the Ice Reaper.
