    1. Not since The Sting paired Redford and Newman has there been a more perfect con artist story than Traveling Man. It's got everything: high-stakes swindles, smooth-talking operators, clueless marks, corrupt county officials, plenty of sex -- The Sting didn't have that, unfortunately -- and a mobster ready to make everyone go away if need be.Who could ask for more in the plot of a first-rate thriller? Oh, I forgot to mention the doublecrosses -- plenty of those are on tap, too, in this well-writte [...]

    2. I bought a copy of this book after seeing the author recommended by a fellow member of a book club. The action starts right from the get go and keeps up at a fast pace throughout. The Traveling Man tells a story about two drifters, a husband and wife, who work together on various nefarious scams. Initially they team up with a third guy, but he soon falls afoul. This book reads like two separate stories, with two completely different scams in each half. The main characters are scammers without mo [...]

    3. This book was great. I was caught up in the book and I didn't want to put it down. It was a wonderful surprise for me. I think if you like thrillers, you should check this book out! * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

    4. I started this read thinking to myself thatI will definitely not like it. To begin with, the title didn’t give away anything. It was mentioned once, in the passing, in the story. The cover too did not do credit to the story. However, when I start a story, it is my policy to finish it, no matter how good or bad the story may be,A few pages into the story, I saw myself reading a riveting story, with characters that I started off not liking but which in the end, I was rooting for. Rob and Pamela, [...]

    5. Reviewed By Amanda Monell for Readers’ Favorite 5 starsThe Traveling Man by Michael P. King is an exhilarating ride into the world of con artists. We are taken on two different cons. The first is where we meet the titular traveling man, his wife, and Buddy, an associate, working a real estate con. Things appear to be going swimmingly until Buddy, who gets greedy, ends up landing the group in a sticky situation, causing him to betray the group. Luckily, even though there were hitches, the con p [...]

    6. Excellent Book!!!This book keeps you very interested. Pity the person who interrupts your reading time. This book just won't release you. Action packed , great characters, actually has you rooting for the bad guys, or are they the better guys??? I just couldn't stop reading this book, and if I did have to walk away it was still playing threw my mind, so I couldn't wait to get back to it. Not my usual read, which is romance, but I am so glad I have it a chance. I give it a five star rating. And c [...]

    7. Crime fiction is not my usual stomping grounds, but The Traveling Man was a fun, page-turning (well scree-scrolling read) read. The plot twists this way and that as the unexpected happens because, well, people in this world are deceivious. The characters are rich and well fleshed out, and despite the main characters being violent criminals, you end up rooting for their team.

    8. Good plot, very violent The writing was well done. The characters interesting. The language more profane than I like and for that reason and a few others I won't go into so as not to spoil the story for others, I won't be reading more of this series.

    9. Con artists and con artistsAnd swindlers and cheaters and betrayed and lots of action and twists. Good story that flowed well with believable characters.

    10. Fun Read! This book is a very fast paced fun read. The characters are wonderful. I highly recommend it. I look forward to the next book.

    11. Good readCharacters were many, sometimes its was difficult to keep them to the right crews. Plot was convoluted at to ea

    12. I just couldn't get into the premise of this one. I'll probably come back to it later, but for now I stopped reading it.
