    1. This book teaches students about patience. Sophie waits each day for snow to arrive, but when it doesn't, she thinks outside of the box and makes her own snow. Students also learn the importance of creativity.

    2. I loved this book as a read-aloud. It's got great dialogue for emphasizing the feelings of the various characters. It's about a girl who really really wants it to snow and she's so excited when the long-awaited snowstorm arrives.

    3. I think every kid has been there, waiting and waiting and very-anxiously-just-can't-take-it-any-longer waiting for something to finally happen - especially when it's snow! There's also directions on how to make paper snowflakes at the very end.

    4. A little girl anxiously awaits winter and the first snow fall. When the forecast is wrong she makes snowflakes in class (instructions on how to do so) and then it really does begin to snow.

    5. Very cute book for my K class. Especially combined with creating our own snowflakes to decorate the classroom!
