    1. A pretty good story set in the Netherlands during World War II. The author shows how a couple of families were presented with difficult choices during the war. I especially enjoyed the interaction between the main family, in particular the brothers. The character development was not great because the author did not stick with one main character throughout the story. There is no “main plot,” except for helping the Resistance forces.
