    1. Wow such a sweet little book.Awww this was so cute.My favourite dog was Seamus.I love animal stories and this one was brilliant.I loved all the dogs in this little gem of a book.

    2. I am absolutely loving this book! Chris Brooks clearly loves and understand dogs! Her stories will make you laugh and cry from page to page! She writes beautiful descriptions of her hikes, walks and antics with her 'Gang of Four' and dog-lovers will understand all the nuances, subtle and not-so-subtle! As a dog lover myself (currently I have two rescues, and have rescued many others over the years), and a recent convert to long hikes in the Andalucian Hills, I loved how Chris writes about nature [...]

    3. Nice anecdotal stories about a woman and her rescue dogs that would be appreciated by animal lovers everywhere, full of stories that will make you smile, laugh and at times cry. The descriptions of the English countryside around West Yorkshire when the author was out walking with her dogs was quite vivid and sounds very beautiful. The book, however, didn’t flow well as it jumped between the past and present and about different dogs, and there were a large number of proofreading errors which be [...]

    4. English Country Life With Rescue DogsThis is a heartwarming story of a woman and her country life with rescue dogs. I not only love this story, I also have almost lived this story. Anyone who enjoys a good dog story will love this novel. The author is spot on with her descriptions of dogs and their antics. Their interactions with other animals are just hilarious. I do wish she had included photos of them rather than sending readers to her web site to view the dogs. I can’t wait to read the nex [...]

    5. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟I loved, loved, loved this book.As a mum to many dogs that have blessed my life I spent much of the book thinking "yep, one of mine was like that." Beautifully written, it showcases just what rescue dogs can bring to your life. I was engrossed, laughing at their antics, sad at the slowing down in their older years and it broke my heart for the author when she finally had to say goodbye.

    6. The Long, The Short and The Tall: Life with Rescue Dogs by Chris Brooks is an entertaining and comical read, especially in the first second where she talks about how she rescued her dogs. I wish that the latter half of the book were more about the dogs than the author, though I did enjoy her escapades in hostelry. Ms. Brooks is a talented storyteller and I look forward to reading more about her adventures with rescue animals.

    7. Brilliant as always!Absolutely loved this book I've tread all of Christine's dog books now and loved every one. Prepare for laughs and a few tears too.

    8. The Long, The Short and The TallI have this book a five because I just couldn't put it down. If you love dogs like I do you'll love this book. I can't wait to start the next one!

    9. Loved it!!!I so thoroughly enjoyed this book! I loved reading how each dog was rescued and about their life afterwards, especially when the pack kept on growing! It was interesting to learn how each of the dogs behaved and how different they were. They each had their own quirks! Each time, the dogs went on a different walk or how they settled into a new move was interesting to read how they quickly adapted to their new surroundings each time. The sheer mount of detail given in this book is just [...]
