    1. The author tackles two subjects I knew next to nothing about: ballet and deafness. That she captured my interest almost immediately is a tribute to her ability to make me WANT to learn more even as I cheered for a very appealing female character. And Jason isn't bad, either--a cowboy by background, a lawyer by profession and part of a large and loving family. What happens to Lauren when she is attacked--by whom? We don't know for the longest time--and then allows herself to be assisted as she he [...]

    2. Originally posted HERE.If this had been a book about a former dancer-turned social worker, I think this would be close to a five-star read. The author clearly knows social work, and has clearly done a HUGE amount of research into sign language and the day-to-day issues a deaf person faces. I didn’t know how she was going to have a hearing hero who doesn’t know how to sign with a deaf heroine, but she pulled it off. However, the book shows a lack of understanding of the sacrifice, dedication, [...]

    3. Terrific book. Jason is approached by a family enemy while at home in Texas on a visit. The man wants his assistance making sure his daughter, who lives in LA, gets her inheritance. Jason is enchanted when he sees her dance and astounded when he discovers that she is deaf. He also isn't sure how he is going to communicate with her.Lauren has been deaf all her life. Her mother died when Lauren was five, sending Lauren into foster care. It was a hard life, with Lauren usually feeling like an outsi [...]

    4. This book had so much potential but had too much going on and just didn't work. I liked that the author included a heroine who was deaf and really delved into the hero learning to speak ASL and learn some of the aspects of deaf culture but between the all the backstories and conflicts and the awful ending, it wasn't enough to save the book.

    5. I enjoyed the book a lot, it gave me a new perspective when it comes to deafness and being a foster child.

    6. This book was an nice summer read.Lauren is a famous deaf ballerina. She meets Jason a lawyer that tells her that her father which she has never meet has died and left her an inheritance. A romace developes. I won this book fro a giveaway.
