    1. I wasn't the biggest fan of this one after I read the Rebirth issue, but volume one wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.That doesn't mean I loved it, but it wasn't painful to read, so I'm willing to wait and see if this title lands on its feet before I call it quits. The gist is that Batgirl finds out someone, who seems to know everything about her and her friends, is calling themselves Oracle and selling secrets to the bad guys. Babs runs to her old BoP teammate, Black Canary, to help her tra [...]

    2. The story was decent, but I had a really hard time getting into this new buck-toothed Batgirl. This art was just so unappealing to me that it kinda ruined the issue. Which is a shame, because I really wanted to like it. And maybe it's unfair of me to judge it that way, but I can't help the way I felt while I was reading it.Ugh*shudder*I don't even understand why I had such a bad reaction to the art because I've certainly seen worse, but there's something about it that sets my teeth on edge. And it [...]

    3. I'm still pretty new to the world of comics. I've mostly read comics featuring Harley Quinn as she's my absolute favorite. So I'm new to the Birds of Prey. I like where this story is going. I was wondering how Barbara got back the use of her legs (I've read The Killing Joke). Not only that, but she's kicking ass again.I'm not so sure about the art, but it's growing on me.

    4. This was very in the middle. I didn't hate it, I didn't love it, justere? This volume mostly focuses on our three main leads. Batgirl, Huntress, and Black Canary all get their backstory that you'd need if you never read any of their books. There's some hidden Oracle person. Oracle used to be Babs (Batgirl) and now someone is using her name. A new hacker! DUM DUM DUM! And now we must find out who while fighting a bunch of baddies! What I liked: The chemistry between everyone felt good. Black Cana [...]

    5. A bit loose and pacey but the heart is definitely in the right place. World: Overall I like the art. I just found the character designs the best when Pacquette and Antonio were drawing, they bring style and character to the characters. The world building here is interesting. We've not really had a look at Babs and her Oracle identity and what it means and this price of the world was ripe for a good development for Rebirth. I also liked the reworking of Helena and the ideas behind the story. Good [...]

    6. Wasn't really feeling this one, it might be because i sick of mystery plots at the moment. They're being way over used and nine times out of ten i don't give a shit about the character reveal. This sets up the birds of prey team pretty well if you don't know the characters, it does include some of the new 52 story lines. It does however possibly spends too much time explaining who these characters and there's not much else going on. The premise is someone going under the name of oracle is selling [...]

    7. After the New 52 ignored Barbara Gordon's past as Oracle, I'm glad that the alias is now a big player on this book. The art was, mostly great. Except for some of the facial features of Barbara.

    8. This reboot of Birds of Prey wasn't the worst, but it wasn't particularly good either. I still dislike the new Batgirl and playing with her former identity of Oracle just reminds me of how awesome she was in that era and how not awesome she is right now. The mother theme felt played out, particularly given how much we're already seen of that from Canary. Also, the art was just awkward. It certainly isn't new-52 bad, but it's just kinda boring.

    9. OK So here's the Thing - this is a fairly decent issue with enough action and mystery to keep you happy and the whole secret Oracle-imposter is also a genuinely nice plot but The art is really letting the issue down. The art is really awkward to say the least with facial expressions of the characters really not making any sense with the surrounding , even the general sketch of all the characters whether they are standing , fighting or sitting on a table looks off . The colouring is actually good [...]

    10. I was really beginning to doubt myself, that I couldn't read something light and friendly and most likely aimed at girls, because of Black Canarys last series. But no, that series was bad. This does a good job with the light and friendly feel, Feel natural and interesting. To top it off it blended well with the serious tone of a Batman comic. This goes the same with the art, it had that light indie style to it, but also cool action sequences and dark moments. That's a bit of an exaggeration but [...]

    11. Not a bad rebirth but lacked a little bit of tone and setup. The rushed inclusion of another Oracle and the lack of mystery really didn't help this issue. The characters felt right and the interaction saved this issue from being a run of the mill cash in. I have high hopes this series will deliver in the very male dominated DC world.

    12. This was actually an exceptional collection. I can honestly admit that in all my 33 years I never read a Huntress or Black Canary storyre I knew a lot about them through comic-geek osmosis, but this time I got what I needed. I appreciate Rebirth because with me, it accomplished it's mission: get new readers by creating accessible entry points. I'm a fan.

    13. This makes me feel like I've missed out on a lot of these ladies' lives since I last read them. Dinah and Barbara's personalities feel too different for me to be comfortable, but Helena is off to a good start. I need to read more to decide if I like it. It's all so weird.

    14. First things first, I hate the artwork. In the beginning Babs has beaver teeth, Helena looks ghastly, Dinah's design wasn't too bad. I love Helena more than anyone else. I think she's amazing and I adored her in Grayson. She's honestly the only reason why I picked this book up because I was unimpressed with the previous runs of Black Canary & Batgirl. Though I really enjoyed Dinah in this, she was lively and entertaining. Barbara annoyed me so much in this trade, she was so quick to judge an [...]

    15. This felt more like Gail Simone's run on Birds of Prey. The story was ultimately nothing special, just a way for the team to get back together. Someone's using the Oracle to name to sell information to the highest bidder. So the team goes on the hunt for Faux-racle as Dinah keeps referring to them. Received an advance copy from DC and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

    16. It was ok, but I don't see myself reading anymore. You can see the twist coming a mile away and they don't even try to make it dramatic.

    17. Batgirl and the Birds of Prey continues to make the same mistakes as Batgirl of Burnside, but somehow worse? Maintaining the retcon that Barbara Gordon is suddenly abled, beautiful and young (far younger than Dinah) is gross on many levels- but really, really ableist. This book basically throws it in our faces: even when we're shown Barbara in the scene where she is paralyzed and then sexually assaulted, her main takeaway? She can't eat marshmallows anymore because it reminds her of that night, [...]

    18. Look this may turn out to be okay, and I'll stick with it and this rating is hugely unfair. I'll get to that in a moment.I'm huge fan of the concept of this book. . It was frankly a little too much backstory for my taste, I wasn't a huge fan of the art, but I'm sure it'll grow on me. For a lot of Batgirl's existence, her color scheme has shaded sort of purple, not black or grey like Batman. I think this dates back to the old 1966 BatMan tv show, where Yvonne Craig's costume was more purple-ish t [...]

    19. 3 stars from me basically means it was good , just not all that good . it's simply weird that the timeline don't match in any DC collaborative effort , making Black canary fighting with Green Arrow in one edition and then becoming a night club bouncer in this book makes it very very strange , leaving that part alone while the colouring and backgrounds were beautiful with a hint of art similar to Green arrow the facial expression and the action scenes were simply bad , they could ofcourse improve [...]

    20. Good brief recap of the pasts of the members of Birds of Prey that does a solid job of setting up the team getting back together. I like Claire Roe's art, as well as the fact that it's clear that women are working on the book because the internal dialog isn't stupid, and all the female characters wear practical footwear.

    21. This was pretty interesting! I've never been a big Barbara fan, but I do like Black Canary and Huntress. I hope this mainline title is as good (or better of course) as this one-shot was tho, cause a lot of them are a bit lower in quality.

    22. Okay Maybe I could give this series another chance. Issue #1 is actually decent with Black Canary and Batgirl more in character than the Rebirth issue. Huntress is exactly the hellcat I expect her to be!

    23. Quality writing and mediocre artwork, bearable than many #rebirth titles though.I am calling this done, If they are going to make any one from arrow verse the new mysterious Oracle.

    24. I adore Batgirl and the Birds of Prey and I’m so happy Birds of Prey have a comic again. I thought the backstory was delivered quickly and seamlessly. The art was modern and fun, but not as pop arty as Batgirl of Burnside. However, I’ve always loved Batgirl as a character and this book was no exception. It did bother me a bit that they made Huntress a villain, I don’t know why they always have to pit the women together. I also wished they had brought in Katana or Poison Ivy back in, it felt [...]

    25. So this one was very much a neutral three. The concept is proven, and the writer does enough with the characters and their chemistry here to show that it will still work in the hands of this creative team, but I found the story one major aspect of the story frustrating and a bit hollow, until the last panels or two turned it around a bit. I mean, it still felt clunky, but it redeemed the elements that felt most obvious and annoying to me. The art really got to me in spots. Where the penciler pla [...]
