    1. I love books with guys in kilts. Give me a broody laird with a brogue who can't keep his hands off his woman and I'm there! This had a great premise. Hope MacAlister is laird of her clan when Aiden McKerry shows up. He's been taught his whole life that he is to be Laird of Clan McAlister, so he intends to show up and take over. It shouldn't be hard since he has the backing of the council, and there's a woman in charge. What Aiden doesn't expect is to fall for her. This was slow moving and kind of [...]

    2. 4 starsAbout the book: RELEASE DATE: August 31, 2016“Remember, lasses. Through Hope, Faith, and Honor, ye can rule,” were the last words Lady Hope MacAlister’s father spoke before dying. Those very words direct her every action and thought. Sword fighting and leading the men of her clan was second nature to Hope and she has little time for herself or any thoughts of love. Until Aidan MacKerry is captured spying on the clan. She is beautiful, strong, and quick to pull a sword. But when he ki [...]

    3. A bit of a mixed bag for me, although I kept reading on as the final fate of the couple was in jeopardy until the end. Hope is the heir to the leadership of her clan – her father’s death Ma bit unconventional from other heroines as she’s more comfortable in plotting, planning and fighting than serving tea or batting her lashes. Unfortunately, her ascension to leadership is not a simple one: while Highlanders are known for their infighting, the attacks on clan MacAlister are increasingly de [...]

    4. Disclaimer: I received an ARC in exchange for my participation in the blog tour. My opinions and thoughts in this review are completely my own. I wanted to love this book. It had the makings of a great book, but fell short due to the fact that the BIG SECRET that is mentioned throughout the book is never really resolved. We finally find out what the heckfire Aidan MacKerry is hiding, but the reveal was very anti-climatic to me. Why should Aidan have been Laird? Was there another reason that Aida [...]

    5. Uncaged Book Reviews:There is some mystery, and layers of deceit, and a heap of romance. I would have liked to see more of Hope and Aidan’s interactions, but it’s an interesting read that kept me engaged throughout. The characters are well developed, and the author did a good job giving strength to Hope, but also giving her vulnerability and heart to keep her believable and likable.Full review at UncagedBooks

    6. I really enjoyed this book. The author set up a wonderful story which will continue to book 2 and 3, but this book could certainly stand on its own. Hope and Aidan have to fight for what they want, which sets up a great conflict. There are sparks and chemistry which sizzle off the pages. This is a fast read and the interaction with all of the characters is engaging. I love books set in Scotland and this one did not disappoint! I can't wait for the other books in the trilogy.

    7. I’m a sucker for Scottish historical romances, so I was excited to read and review Highland Hope. And, I was not disappointed. This book is a wonderful start to the proposed trilogy and left me wanting to know more about this family. I also enjoyed the intrigue that was interwoven throughout the story from start to finish. There are a number of supporting characters in the story which, in most cases, worked well. However, in a few instances, I felt they detracted from what should be the main fo [...]

    8. Madelyn Hill has begun a historical romantic series that, while based on a time-worn plot, offers a slightly different spin. Read full review in the 2016 December issue of InD'tale Magazine.

    9. Okay readThe book needed some editing and the story line wasn't unique. However, it was an okay read with likeable characters.

    10. Finding trustMadelyn hill has done great job on this story about a man and a woman who doesn't trust each other and a clan who doesn't trust. The love waits for them. I gave this story a three stars rating because of the story
