    1. Why does the mom have to have a wrinkled forehead and sneeze loudly? The dad doesn't have any negativeste book.

    2. For my Latino book choice, I chose "I'm Just Like My Mom; I'm Just Like My Dad" written by Jorge Ramos and illustrated by Akemi Gutierrez. This book is about a son and daughter who talk about how they are alike with their father and mother. It is a simple story with colorful illustrations. One important aspect this book holds is that it has the lines of the story written in english and spanish. That can be important for young readers who may be learning a second language. The book is interesting [...]

    3. This book has a neat concept. You can flip it over and read it the other way one way you read about the Mom, the other way like the Dad. The book is all right. My main concern with it is that nothing really happens so it was tough to keep my daughter interested. The spanish in it was really fun, though. Also, the illustrations are cute.

    4. I used this book for my very first lesson plan. I cannot even begin to describe how much I love this book as a dual language teacher. Not only does it contain two stories in one, it is also in English and Spanish. It catered to both my English and Spanish native speakers so that the whole class grasped the book. Great lesson on the family and diversity for early childhood,

    5. one of those flip and turn-over books - on one side a girl talks about how she is just like her mom, on the other a boy compares himself with his dad. Each page contains the english and the spanish version of the story.

    6. Great book written in both English and Spanish. I would use this book to expose English speakers to the spanish language and my spanish speakers to the English language. Great for grades pre-k through 2nd.

    7. As celebrity-penned books goes, this one is pretty darn good! It will be especially appreciated and enjoyed by children who see themselves and their families reflected in the story.

    8. This was a book about family and the similarities between children and their parents. It can be read in either English or Spanish.

    9. Cute bilingual flip book, one side: I'm just like my mom, the other I'm just like my dad. Shows family genetics.
