    2. Review of I Have Called You By Name, by Sonya Contreras This book is an story of the travels of the Israelite people from the time they left Egypt to the time they were ready to enter the Promised Land, based on the Scriptural account found in the books of Exodus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, and other archaeological and historical records. 3. The book "I Have Called You by Name" shows how Israelites were not ready to be God's people. They knew of God, but coming out of slavery they thought they were ready to occupy the promise land without really knowing God. God reminds the Israelites and us of God's holiness and how God uses trials and affliction to teach us how to depend on Him and there are consequences for disbelief and blessings for obedience by faith. The book made me want to go back and re-read a familiar biblical account I t [...]
