    1. Wow, Dan Dos Santos strikes again. Love, love this cover. Gives me fairy-tale vibes, just gorgeous.-the fact broken werewolves are especially mentioned in the blurb, I guess this new trouble in aspen Creek has to be related to them.-Missing Alpha? Nooooooo. I want more Bran. -Hmmm, so werewolves are kidnapped for some notorious purpose.-Also, that last sentence, opening a painful chapter in the past that springs from the darkest magic of the witchborn…, I wonder if this is related to Bran spec [...]

    2. Expected publication 2018.2018!!Three years from the last book!THREE YEARS!!P.S. This was published 6 months before Mrs Briggs husband passed away. This was published with a tongue-in-cheek intention for the delays of our favourite books. Obviously after Mrs. Briggs loss I don't expect her to be whipping up books. My condolences and love and hope she has the support she needs to get over this difficult time.

    3. A solid and enthusiastic four stars. In Bran's (rather mysterious) absence, Charles and Anna try to manage his pack of werewolves and figure out who is trying to kidnap - or kill - some of the outlier members of the pack. The mystery plot didn't gel for me as well as in some of the other books, but it was great getting to know some of the members of Bran's pack of misfit werewolves better. Some poignant moments for several characters add to the depth of this urban fantasy. Patricia Briggs is def [...]

    4. [3.5/5 stars] As Patricia Briggs is one of my favorite urban fantasy writers, I love that I have a new release from her to look forward to every year. Reading her books always feels like cuddling up with a warm fuzzy blanket when it’s snowing outside. Burn Bright was a nice installment in the Alpha & Omega series. Perhaps not quite as strong as the last couple of books, but still loads of fun all the same. The positives were abundant: an interesting mystery to solve (one which I’m sure we [...]

    5. I'm so pumped! I could read a 100 book series dedicated to these two as long as there's no more mention of horses.

    6. Reviewed by: Rabid ReadsHOO boyAD HEAT, the last book from the Anna and Charles portion of the MERCY THOMPSON universe, is probably my least favorite book in the combined series, so despite my slight preference for the ALPHA & OMEGA characters, I was a bit leery of BURN BRIGHT . . . And by "leery" I mean that I hesitated for a whole five seconds before accepting an ARC. I love Bran. I love everything about the concept of the Marrock. I love the tiny middle-of-nowhere town for misfit werewolv [...]

    7. Wow. I've gotta re-read this.Burn Brightm. What could that be in reference to?And it takes place in Aspen Creek - no travelling this book for Charles and Anna. NEED!!!

    8. Initial ThoughtsSo damn good. I loved every part of this book. It was just amazingly good. Some of the things I loved about this book:AnnaCharlesBrother WolfAsilLeah <-----yes, I said LeahMeeting some new charactersSolid mysteryAction scenesA few surprising momentsSo much to love about this book. I would say it was worth the wait. ARC provided by the publisher via NetGalley. Full review to be posted closer to publication date.

    9. Thanks to Netgalley and Berkley for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.Patricia Briggs is one of my favorite authors. She consistently produces top-notch books, both in her Mercy Thompson series and in this one, the Alpha & Omega series, which is a spinoff of Mercy's stories and intertwines back and forth. This novel picks up right around the events of the most recent Mercy book, Silence Fallen, and follows Charles and Anna as they handle some events surrounding the wil [...]

    12. 4.5 Stars!Oh how I have missed Charles and Anna!I love this series and the very fact that it coincides with my beloved Mercy Thompson series just makes it all the better. I loved being immersed back into this world and more importantly getting to see Charles and Anna together again. The bond and relationship they have it amazing and the love and understanding between them even more so. I love that they make each other stronger and while they want to protect each other, they also don't smother or [...]

    13. It has a name!It has a publication date!Oh no, the publication date is March 2018. Oh no. *crying*At least we know that Patricia Briggs' books are always worth waiting for. Can't wait!

    14. 3.5 Stars. I would like to say that I loved this book, but I didn’t…not quite. It had all the right ingredients – Bran’s wildlings, pack issues, favorite characters, and an intriguing mystery. There was even a side to Leah not seen before. Unfortunately, it was slow going. It was interesting, the investigation into the difficulties the wildlings were having and the pack issues that had risen; but it meandered along too leisurely for my tastes getting to the point. I had put it down and p [...]

    15. This is kind of a problem because I give this book 5 Stars but barely 5, it had action, romance, mystery and pretty much everything you want in any book and Patricia Briggs writing was great BUT the only reason I am not just gushing all over the place is so much was going on at times I had a problem keeping everyone/everything straight which may be more of a problem with me than the book since I loved it.For those of you who read Silence Fallen (the ONLY book of hers I have EVER given less than [...]

    16. I would never have thought Briggs could make me like Leah, but after seeing more into her thoughts and motives I don't hate her anymore. I liked that we got a look into Leah and Bran's relationship in Burn Bright. I would love it if they had a novella at some point. .Charles and Anna outshine Mercy and Adam as a couple for me. I think it's because I really like Charles and still feel "meh" about Adam. I really love how Briggs uses the same timeline for this series and Mercy Thompson series. It's [...]

    17. 2/13/18 Second read. No less powerful the second time around. 12/11/17 Wow. This story surprised the heck out of me. I'm mad and sad and my heart hurts for the pack, even Leah. She played a bigger part in this story and we got to see more than the demanding, sulky side of her. Also, I now need to go back through all of the Mercyverse books and see if I can spot the clues. Full review closer to release date.

    18. It really saddens me that we have to wait 3 years since the last book and that I just can't seem to get into Mercy that much. Guess I'll just have to continue to play them out in my head(sad I know, but I love them so much!).

    19. **ARC provided by publisher in exchange for an honest review**"Ours, said Brother Wolf. She is perfect, our soul mate, our anchor, the reason we were created. So that we could be hers."The Alpha & Omega by Patricia Briggs is one of my favorite Urban Fantasy series. Unfortunately, the books in this series releases every two or three years, so I treasure the books even more than I do with other series. Charles and Anna are one of my favorite couples and I always look forward to seeing their re [...]

    20. This book took the series in a VERY different direction than I was expecting, and gives me a reason to believe that neither this spin off series nor the Mercy series will be over any time soon. I'm still not sure how I feel about that, but it is interesting. I'll have a more cohesive review up before release day.

    21. *Source* Publisher*Genre* Urban Fantasy*Rating* 4.0*Thoughts*Burn Bright, by author Patricia Briggs, is the Fifth installment in the author's Alpha & Omega series. Even though it has been 3 years since the last Charles and Anna book, the stories never get old, nor does the romance between the couple. I dare say that I enjoy Anna and Charles a whole lot more than Mercy and Adam because neither has to deal with an ex-spouse who continues to show up at the most inopportune times.*Full Review @ [...]

    22. Full review is here, on my blog. When this popped up on NetGalley, I hit the request button so hard I might have hurt myself a little. I’ve been a huge, huge fan of the Mercy Thompson series for a while now, and so, after I ran out of those to read, I naturally moved to the Alpha and Omega series. It takes place in the same universe, but follows different characters. How could I not?!Bran, the Marrok (the leader over all the werewolves in North America this world, for those unaware. He’s sort [...]

    23. There is nothing that I love more than finishing a book and having a greater understanding of certain things, like items on the cover, or the meaning behind a title. I am in love with the cover for Burn Bright in a whole new way after reading this story. Burn Bright is the fifth book in the Alpha & Omega series, fifteenth in the Mercy Thompson World, and it was a compelling read that had me glued to the pages! I have read the entire Mercy Thompson series as well as the Alpha & Omega seri [...]
