    1. This is a fantastic book. It is a complete guide to ALL the frogs and toads of NA. It gives basic id and behavior notes, range maps, and beautiful color photographs. My only beef is that the book is not sized to take into the field. An added bonus is a CD thast comes with the book with all the anuran calls for NA! Cheaply priced too.

    2. If you want to learn about frogs and toads that live in your area this book is a great help! Its packed with high quality photos of each species, a map where they are found, cd with frog and toad calls to listen to, and detailed information. The reason for a 4 rating is that they lack photos of the tadpoles and diet of some species, but other than that great book!

    3. Lang Elliott is the man where North American amphibians are concerned. This is the most comprehensive publication of its kind, and it contains two CDs of calls. A must have for anyone so inclined.
