    1. It is nice to know that amid bargain books of (some distasteful) love stories, I have found a treasure worth re-reading and sharing without going into the dramatic details. A treasure, because it is packed with truisms carried by elderly characters and a plot that gets the reader to travel from Czechoslovakia to Canada. In fact, after reading, I scrambled for Google and looked up Yolanda’s and Alex's place.
